Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Ankara Meets Turkish Minister of Health

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ankara Mr. Majid Al Lachmawi, met with the Turkish Minister of Health Mr. Fahrettin Koca, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing joint health cooperation between both countries, in addition to Ambassador Al Lachmawi, stressed the importance of accelerating the signing of the proposed memorandums of understanding between the two countries in the health field.

As well as Ambassador Al Lachmawi, thanked the Turkish health institutions that is receiving large numbers of injured members of the Iraqi security services in accordance with the existing security and military cooperation program between the two countries, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of health tourism, affirming the need to maintain meetings between the two sides to overcome the obstacles that Iraqi patients may face during their medical trip.

Additionally, Ambassador Al Lachmawi also praised the role of Turkish companies that are building a large number of hospitals and health centers in more than one Iraqi city, noting that these projects enhance the quality of health services provided to Iraqi citizens, stressing the importance of benefiting from Turkish expertise in managing and operating Iraqi health institutions, and enhancing cooperation in the field of importing high-quality medicine, medical supplies and devices.
