القائم بالأعمال في القنصلية العامة لجمهورية العراق في تكساس – هيوستن يشارك في وقفة تأبينيه
شارك القائم بالأعمال في القنصلية العامة لجمهورية العراق في هيوستن-تكساس، السيد قتيبة خالد صالح، يوم الجمعة الموافق 11 أيلول 2026، فعالية إحياء الذكرى الخامسة والعشرين لأحداث الحادي عشر من سبتمبر، والتي أقامتها مدينة هيوستن بدعوة من عمدة مدينة هيوستن السيد جون ويتمير، وذلك في حديقة “لورن” بمنتزه ماركت سكوير وسط المدينة، بحضور عدد من رؤساء وأعضاء البعثات الدبلوماسية المعتمدة في ولاية تكساس الأمريكية.
وتضمنت مراسم الاحتفال وقفة تأبينية إحياءً لذكرى الأرواح التي فقدت في تلك الأحداث، وتكريماً لرجال الإنقاذ الذين هبّوا لنجدة المتضررين، إلى جانب التأكيد على روح الصمود لدى المجتمع الأمريكي.
وتأتي مشاركة القنصلية العامة لجمهورية العراق في هيوستن في إطار حرصها على تعزيز التواصل الدبلوماسي، والمشاركة في المناسبات الوطنية والإنسانية التي تقيمها الجهات الرسمية الأمريكية، وتوطيد علاقات التعاون والتنسيق مع البعثات الدبلوماسية والجهات الرسمية في ولاية تكساس.
The Chargé d’Affaires at the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Texas–Houston Participates in a Memorial Gathering
The Chargé d’Affaires at the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Houston, Texas, Mr. Qutaiba Khaled Salih, participated on Friday, 11 September 2026, in the commemoration marking the twenty‑fifth anniversary of the events of September 11. The ceremony was organized by the City of Houston at the invitation of Houston Mayor Mr. John Whitmire, and held at “Lauren” Garden in Market Square Park in the city center, with the attendance of a number of heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited in the State of Texas.
The memorial proceedings included a moment of remembrance honoring the lives lost in those events, and a tribute to the first responders who rushed to assist the affected, in addition to reaffirming the spirit of resilience within the American community.
The participation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Houston reflects its commitment to strengthening diplomatic engagement, taking part in national and humanitarian occasions organized by U.S. official entities, and further consolidating cooperation and coordination with diplomatic missions and official institutions in the State of Texas.
