القائم بالأعمال المؤقت يستقبل رئيسة مؤسسة الصحة والسرطان العراقية الأمريكية

استقبل القائم بالأعمال المؤقت في القنصلية العامة لجمهورية العراق في هيوستن، السيد قتيبة خالد صالح، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 2 أيلول 2026، رئيسة مؤسسة الصحة والسرطان العراقية الأمريكية، الدكتورة نغم الزبيدي، ونائب رئيس المؤسسة، الدكتور عمر الدباغ، وذلك في إطار زيارة رسمية إلى القنصلية.

وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل التعاون المشترك وتعزيز التواصل مع الجالية العراقية في ولاية تكساس، إذ قدّمت الدكتورة الزبيدي عرضاً عن طبيعة عمل المؤسسة وبرامجها الصحية والخدمية، ولا سيما في مجالات التوعية الصحية والكشف المبكر والدعم الموجّه للمرضى المصابين بالأمراض السرطانية.

كما تناول اللقاء آفاق التعاون بين المؤسسة والجهات الحكومية في العراق، وفي مقدمتها وزارة الصحة، بهدف تبادل الخبرات العلمية والبحثية، ودعم الكوادر الطبية المتخصصة، وتطوير البرامج الصحية ذات الصلة، بما يسهم في تعزيز القدرات الوطنية.

ورحّبت القنصلية بهذه المبادرة، مؤكدة استعدادها لدعم الجهود الرامية إلى خدمة الجالية العراقية وتعزيز التعاون بين المؤسسات الصحية في العراق والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

The Acting Chargé d’Affaires Receives the President of the Iraqi‑American Health and Cancer Foundation

The Acting Chargé d’Affaires at the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Houston, Mr. Qutaiba Khaled Salih, received on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, the President of the Iraqi‑American Health and Cancer Foundation, Dr. Nagham Al‑Zubaidi, and the Foundation’s Vice President, Dr. Omar Al‑Dabbagh, as part of an official visit to the Consulate.

During the meeting, the parties discussed avenues for joint cooperation and ways to strengthen engagement with the Iraqi community in the State of Texas. Dr. Al‑Zubaidi delivered a briefing on the Foundation’s mission and its health and service programs, particularly in the areas of health awareness, early detection, and targeted support for patients suffering from cancer-related illnesses.

The meeting also addressed prospects for cooperation between the Foundation and governmental institutions in Iraq, foremost among them the Ministry of Health, with the aim of exchanging scientific and research expertise, supporting specialized medical personnel, and developing relevant health programs that contribute to enhancing national capacities.

The Consulate welcomed this initiative and affirmed its readiness to support efforts aimed at serving the Iraqi community and strengthening cooperation between health institutions in Iraq and the United States of America.
