القائم بالأعمال المؤقت يشارك في زيارة ثقافية إلى المركز الإسماعيلي في هيوستن

شارك القائم بالأعمال المؤقت في القنصلية العامة لجمهورية العراق في تكساس – هيوستن، السيد قتيبة خالد صالح، بتاريخ 6/2/2026، في زيارة إلى المركز الإسماعيلي في مدينة هيوستن، وذلك ضمن فعالية نظمها السلك القنصلي في هيوستن، وبحضور عدد من ممثلي البعثات الدبلوماسية.

وتضمنت الزيارة الاستماع إلى شرحٍ موجز عن المركز الإسماعيلي، الذي تم افتتاحه رسمياً في 6 تشرين الثاني 2025 من قبل عمدة مدينة هيوستن، حيث تناول الشرح رسالة المركز، وأهدافه ودوره الثقافي والمجتمعي. وعقب ذلك، جرى القيام بجولة ميدانية في أروقة المركز، عكست الطابع المعماري المميّز وما يجسّده من أبعاد ثقافية وروحية تعبّر عن هوية المركز ورسالته في تعزيز التفاهم والتعايش المجتمعي.

وتأتي هذه الزيارة ضمن إطار الجولات الثقافية التي تهدف إلى التعريف بالمؤسسات الثقافية والمعالم الحضارية، وتعزيز التواصل والانفتاح الثقافي.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Texas – Houston, Mr. Qutaiba Khaled Salih, participated on February 6, 2026, in a visit to the Ismaili Center in Houston, as part of an event organized by the Consular Corps in Houston, with the attendance of representatives of diplomatic missions.

The visit included listening to a brief presentation about The Ismaili Center, which was officially inaugurated on November 6, 2025, by the Mayor of Houston. The presentation addressed the Center’s mission, objectives, and its cultural and community role. This was followed by a guided tour of the Center’s corridors, which reflected its distinctive architectural style and the cultural and spiritual dimensions embodied in its design, expressing the Center’s identity and its mission to promote mutual understanding and social coexistence.

This visit comes within the framework of cultural tours aimed at introducing cultural institutions and landmark sites and enhancing cultural communication and openness.
