وزير الخارجية يلتقي نظيره اللبناني ويبحثان العلاقات الثنائية وتطورات المنطقة

التقى وزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الاثنين الموافق 7 أيلول 2026، وزير الخارجية والمغتربين في الجمهورية اللبنانية، السيد يوسف رجي، وذلك على هامش أعمال الدورة العادية الـ(166) لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية على المستوى الوزاري، المنعقدة في العاصمة القاهرة.

وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث العلاقات الثنائية بين جمهورية العراق والجمهورية اللبنانية، وسبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك بما يخدم مصالح البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.

وناقش الجانبان التوترات المتصاعدة التي تشهدها المنطقة وانعكاساتها السلبية على دولها وشعوبها، ولا سيما ما يتعلق بأمن الطاقة وتأثر إمدادات النفط، مؤكدين أهمية العمل على تجنيب المنطقة مزيداً من التصعيد والتوتر.

وأكد السيد الوزير أهمية الحوار بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، وضرورة اللجوء إلى الوسائل الدبلوماسية لمعالجة الخلافات، بما يسهم في خفض التوتر وترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

من جانبه، أعرب وزير الخارجية والمغتربين اللبناني عن شكره وتقديره لجمهورية العراق على دعمها المتواصل للبنان، مثمناً مواقف العراق الداعمة لأمن لبنان واستقراره.

كما استعرض وزير الخارجية الأوضاع السياسية في العراق، وجهود الحكومة العراقية في ترسيخ الاستقرار وتعزيز سيادة الدولة وحصر السلاح .

واتفق الجانبان على أهمية مواصلة التواصل والتنسيق بين البلدين، فضلاً عن عقد اجتماعات فنية مشتركة في مجال الطاقة، بما يسهم في تعزيز التعاون الثنائي وتطوير العلاقات بين العراق ولبنان.

FM Meets Lebanese Counterpart and Discusses Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, met, on Monday, 7 September 2026, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic, H.E. Mr. Youssef Rajji, on the sidelines of the 166th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, being held in the capital, Cairo.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Lebanese Republic and ways to enhance joint cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

The two sides discussed the escalating tensions in the region and their negative repercussions on its countries and peoples, particularly with regard to energy security and the impact on oil supplies, stressing the importance of working to spare the region further escalation and tensions.

H.E. the Minister stressed the importance of dialogue between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the need to resort to diplomatic means to address differences, in a manner that contributes to reducing tensions and consolidating security and stability in the region.

For his part, H.E. the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Republic of Iraq for its continued support for Lebanon, commending Iraq’s positions in support of Lebanon’s security and stability.

H.E. the Foreign Minister also reviewed the political situation in Iraq and the Iraqi Government’s efforts to consolidate stability, enhance state sovereignty, and ensure that arms remain exclusively in the hands of the state.

The two sides agreed on the importance of maintaining communication and coordination between the two countries, as well as holding joint technical meetings in the field of energy, in a manner that contributes to strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing relations between Iraq and Lebanon.
