وزير الخارجية يلتقي وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية القطري على هامش اجتماع مجلس جامعة الدول العربية

التقى وزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الاثنين الموافق 7 أيلول 2026، وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية في دولة قطر الشقيقة، السيد سلطان بن سعد المريخي، وذلك على هامش أعمال الدورة العادية الـ(166) لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية على المستوى الوزاري، المنعقدة في العاصمة القاهرة.
وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث العلاقات الثنائية بين جمهورية العراق ودولة قطر وسبل تعزيزها وتطوير التعاون المشترك في مختلف المجالات بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.
واتفق الجانبان على مواصلة التنسيق والترتيب لتنظيم زيارة لرئيس مجلس الوزراء ، السيد علي الزيدي، إلى دولة قطر، بما يسهم في تعزيز مسار العلاقات الثنائية ودفع التعاون المشترك إلى آفاق أوسع.
كما أكد الجانبان أهمية عقد اجتماعات اللجنة العراقية–القطرية المشتركة، مشيرين إلى جاهزية عدد من مذكرات التفاهم والاتفاقيات التي من شأنها تعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في عدد من المجالات.
وتناول اللقاء كذلك تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة في ظل استمرار التوتر والتصعيد، وما تفرضه الأزمات والصراعات من تداعيات خطيرة على أمن واستقرار دول المنطقة واقتصاداتها ومصالح شعوبها.
وحذر السيد فؤاد حسين من مخاطر استمرار الحروب واتساع دائرة الصراعات وما تخلفه من نتائج إنسانية واقتصادية وأمنية جسيمة، مؤكداً ضرورة العمل على إيجاد مساحات للحوار والنقاش البنّاء بين الأطراف المعنية.
وأشار وزير الخارجية إلى أهمية الاستفادة من علاقات دول المنطقة مع مختلف الأطراف، ولا سيما الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، من أجل تقريب وجهات النظر وتهيئة الظروف الملائمة للحوار، بما يسهم في خفض التوتر ومنع المزيد من التصعيد، وصولاً إلى حلول سلمية تعزز أمن واستقرار المنطقة.
FM Meets Qatari FM on Sidelines of Arab League Council Meeting
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, met, on Monday, 7 September 2026, with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, H.E. Mr. Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, on the sidelines of the 166th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, being held in the capital, Cairo.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the State of Qatar, ways to enhance and develop them, and joint cooperation in various fields in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
The two sides agreed to continue coordination and arrangements for the visit of Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi, to the State of Qatar, in a manner that contributes to strengthening the course of bilateral relations and advancing joint cooperation towards broader horizons.
The two sides also stressed the importance of holding meetings of the Iraqi-Qatari Joint Committee, noting the readiness of a number of memoranda of understanding and agreements that would enhance cooperation between the two countries in a number of fields.
The meeting also addressed developments in the region amid continued tensions and escalation, and the serious repercussions that crises and conflicts have on the security and stability of the countries of the region, their economies, and the interests of their peoples.
H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein warned of the risks posed by the continuation of wars and the expansion of conflicts, and the grave humanitarian, economic, and security consequences they leave behind, stressing the need to work towards creating space for dialogue and constructive discussion among the parties concerned.
H.E. the Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of leveraging the relations that the countries of the region maintain with various parties, particularly the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, in order to bring positions closer and create conducive conditions for dialogue, in a manner that contributes to reducing tensions and preventing further escalation, leading to peaceful solutions that enhance the security and stability of the region.
