وزير الخارجية يبحث مع نظيره المصري تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية والتعاون في مجالي الطاقة والمشاريع المشتركة

التقى وزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 5 آب 2026، وزير الخارجية والهجرة وشؤون المصريين بالخارج في جمهورية مصر العربية، الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي، في العاصمة الأردنية عمّان، وذلك على هامش مشاركتهما في الاجتماع الوزاري العربي بشأن القدس.
وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين العراق ومصر، وآفاق تطويرها في مختلف المجالات، فضلاً عن أهمية مواصلة تبادل الزيارات بين المسؤولين والوفود في البلدين خلال المرحلة المقبلة، بما يسهم في توسيع مجالات التعاون المشترك.
كما بحث الجانبان المشاريع المشتركة التي تتولى الشركات المصرية تنفيذها في العراق، وسبل تعزيز التعاون في قطاع الطاقة، ولا سيما في مجال الكهرباء، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين.
وتبادل الوزيران وجهات النظر بشأن تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة، والتحديات الإقليمية الراهنة، بما في ذلك مستجدات الملاحة في مضيق هرمز وأهمية ضمان انسيابية حركة الملاحة البحرية.
وتطرق اللقاء كذلك إلى مشروع مد أنبوب النفط من العراق إلى ميناء العقبة، ومنه إلى البحر الأحمر، وأهمية هذا المشروع في دعم التعاون الاقتصادي وتعزيز مسارات نقل وتصدير الطاقة.
وفي ختام اللقاء، اتفق الجانبان على مواصلة التنسيق والتواصل، والعمل على تكثيف تبادل الزيارات والوفود على أعلى المستويات، بما يعزز العلاقات العراقية–المصرية ويدفع مسارات التعاون الثنائي إلى آفاق أوسع.
FM Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Cooperation in the Energy Sector and Joint Projects with Egyptian Counterpart
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, met on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Dr. Badr Abdelatty, in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the sidelines of their participation in the Arab Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem.
The meeting focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations between Iraq and Egypt and prospects for expanding cooperation across various fields, as well as emphasizing the importance of continuing the exchange of visits by senior officials and delegations from both countries during the coming period, with a view to broadening areas of mutual cooperation.
The two sides also discussed the joint projects being implemented in Iraq by Egyptian companies, as well as ways to enhance cooperation in the energy sector, particularly in the field of electricity, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two countries.
The ministers exchanged views on developments in the region and the current regional challenges, including recent developments related to navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the importance of ensuring the uninterrupted flow of maritime navigation.
The meeting also addressed the project to extend the Iraqi oil pipeline to the Port of Aqaba and onward to the Red Sea, highlighting its importance in supporting economic cooperation and enhancing energy transport and export routes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue coordination and communication and to intensify the exchange of visits and delegations at the highest levels, in a manner that further enhances Iraq–Egypt relations and advances bilateral cooperation to broader horizons.
