وزير الخارجية يلتقي رئيس مجلس الوزراء الكويتي ويؤكد أهمية تطوير العلاقات الاقتصادية وتفعيل مشاريع الربط الكهربائي والاستثمار

التقى وزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 8 تموز 2026، رئيس مجلس الوزراء في دولة الكويت، سمو الشيخ أحمد عبد الله الأحمد الصباح، وذلك في إطار زيارته الرسمية إلى دولة الكويت.
وجرى خلال اللقاء استعراض تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة، وتبادل وجهات النظر بشأن أبرز التحديات الإقليمية، حيث أكد الجانبان أهمية تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الشقيقين، والعمل على تجنيبها كل ما من شأنه الإساءة إليها أو التأثير في مسارها الإيجابي.
وشدد السيد الوزير على أهمية الارتقاء بالعلاقات التجارية والاقتصادية، وتوجيه الجهود نحو توسيع آفاق التعاون المشترك، بدلاً من إطالة أمد القضايا العالقة، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة ويعزز التنمية والازدهار في البلدين.
كما أكد الجانبان أهمية تجنب كل ما قد يؤثر سلباً في العلاقات الاقتصادية بين العراق والكويت، وضرورة تفعيل التفاهمات المشتركة، ولا سيما في مجالات الربط الكهربائي، والاستثمار، والمشاريع الاقتصادية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما يسهم في ترسيخ الشراكة الثنائية وتحقيق المصالح المتبادلة.
واختتم اللقاء بالتأكيد على مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بين البلدين، وتعزيز التعاون في مختلف المجالات، بما يرسخ العلاقات الأخوية ويدعم أمن واستقرار المنطقة.
FM Meets the State of Kuwait PM; Affirming the Importance of Advancing Economic Relations and Promoting Electricity Interconnection and Investment Projects
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, met with the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, as part of his official visit to the State of Kuwait.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed developments in the region and exchanged views on the most pressing regional challenges. They underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ensuring that they remain free from any factors that could undermine or negatively affect their positive trajectory.
H.E. the Minister stressed the importance of advancing trade and economic relations and directing efforts toward expanding the horizons of joint cooperation, rather than prolonging outstanding issues, in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries and promotes development and prosperity.
Both sides also emphasized the need to avoid anything that could adversely affect economic relations between Iraq and Kuwait and highlighted the importance of implementing existing mutual understandings, particularly in the fields of electricity interconnection, investment, and economic projects of common interest. They noted that these efforts would help consolidate the bilateral partnership and achieve mutual benefits.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to continuing coordination and consultation, while strengthening cooperation across various fields in a manner that reinforces the fraternal ties between the two countries and contributes to the security and stability of the region.
