وزير الخارجية يتلقى اتصالاً هاتفياً من نظيره الإيراني لبحث مستجدات المفاوضات مع الولايات المتحدة

تلقى نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم السبت الموافق 14 شباط 2026، اتصالاً هاتفياً من وزير خارجية الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، السيد عباس عراقجي.
وخلال الاتصال، استعرض الوزير الإيراني مجريات المفاوضات التي جرت بين الوفدين الإيراني والأمريكي، ناقلاً صورة شاملة عن أجواء المحادثات والموضوعات التي تم بحثها، ولا سيما نتائج الجولة الأخيرة التي عُقدت في سلطنة عُمان، والتي وصفها بأنها إيجابية وجادة.
كما بحث الجانبان الخطوات المقبلة، بما في ذلك عقد جولة جديدة من المفاوضات يوم الثلاثاء المقبل في مدينة جنيف، مؤكدين أهمية مواصلة الحوار بما يسهم في تحقيق نتائج بنّاءة تعزز الاستقرار في المنطقة.
من جانبه، شدد السيد فؤاد حسين على أهمية التوصل إلى نتائج إيجابية خلال الاجتماع المرتقب في جنيف، مؤكداً دعم العراق الكامل للعملية التفاوضية، وتمنياته بنجاحها بما يخدم أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
كما أطلع السيد الوزير نظيره الإيراني على الإجراءات التي اتخذتها الحكومة العراقية بشأن نقل سجناء تنظيم «داعش» إلى العراق، مؤكداً أنهم باتوا تحت سيطرة السلطات العراقية، وسيجري التعامل معهم وفقًا لأحكام القانون العراقي.
وفي ختام الاتصال، أعرب السيد الوزير عن شكره لنظيره الإيراني على إحاطته بتفاصيل المفاوضات الجارية مع الجانب الأمريكي، وتواصله المستمر في هذا الشأن.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives a Phone Call from His Iranian Counterpart to Discuss Developments in Negotiations with the United States
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a phone call on Saturday, 14 February 2026, from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Abbas Araghchi.
During the call, H.E. the Iranian Minister reviewed the course of the negotiations held between the Iranian and U.S. delegations, providing a comprehensive overview of the atmosphere of the talks and the issues discussed, particularly the outcomes of the most recent round held in the Sultanate of Oman, which he described as positive and serious.
The two sides also discussed the next steps, including the convening of a new round of negotiations next Tuesday in Geneva, underscoring the importance of continuing dialogue in a manner that contributes to achieving constructive results and enhancing regional stability.
For his part, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of reaching positive outcomes during the upcoming meeting in Geneva, reaffirming Iraq’s full support for the negotiation process and expressing his hope for its success in serving the security and stability of the region.
H.E. the Minister also briefed his Iranian counterpart on the measures taken by the Iraqi government regarding the transfer of ISIS detainees to Iraq, confirming that they are now under the custody of the Iraqi authorities and will be dealt with in accordance with Iraqi law.
At the conclusion of the call, H.E. the Minister expressed his appreciation to his Iranian counterpart for keeping him informed of the details of the ongoing negotiations with the U.S. side and for his continued communication on this matter.
