نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية السيد فؤاد حسين يزور سفارة العراق في واشنطن

قام نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، بزيارة إلى سفارة جمهورية العراق في واشنطن يوم الاثنين الموافق 28 نيسان 2025، حيث التقى بسفير العراق لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، السيد نزار الخيرالله، وأعضاء كادر السفارة.
وجاءت الزيارة في إطار متابعة سير العمل الدبلوماسي وتعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين العراق والولايات المتحدة، بالتزامن مع المباحثات التي يجريها السيد الوزير مع المسؤولين الأمريكيين خلال زيارته الحالية إلى واشنطن.
وخلال اللقاء، بحث السيد فؤاد حسين مع كادر السفارة سُبل تطوير الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين البلدين، لا سيما في المجالات السياسية والأمنية والاقتصادية، بما يتماشى مع الاتفاقيات الموقعة بين الجانبين، وفي مقدمتها اتفاقية الإطار الاستراتيجي.
كما تناول اللقاء التحضيرات الجارية لعقد اجتماع اللجنة العليا المشتركة بين العراق والولايات المتحدة، المزمع عقده قريبًا، والذي سيناقش التعاون في عدة مجالات، مع التأكيد على أهمية الاستعداد الجيد لهذه الاجتماعات. وأشاد السيد الوزير بالجهود الكبيرة التي يبذلها السفير وكادر السفارة في هذا الإطار.
وأشار السيد الوزير أيضًا إلى أهمية تعزيز التنسيق بين البلدين في ظل التطورات الإقليمية الراهنة.
وفي السياق ذاته، شدد السيد فؤاد حسين على ضرورة تبسيط الخدمات القنصلية المقدمة للجالية العراقية في الولايات المتحدة، مؤكداً أهمية تحسين جودتها.
من جانبه، أعرب السفير نزار الخيرالله عن تقديره لهذه الزيارة، واصفًا إياها بـ”خطوة داعمة للعمل الدبلوماسي تأتي في ظل ظروف وتحديات كبيرة تمر بها المنطقة”.
Deputy Prime Minister And Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Visits Iraqi Embassy In Washington D.C.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein visited the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington D.C, on 28 April 2025, and met with the Iraq’s Ambassador to the United States Mr. Nazar Al Khirullah, and the Embassy staff.
The visit came as part of following up the diplomatic workflow and strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, coinciding with the Minister’s discussions with American officials during his current visit to Washington.
The Minister discussed with the Embassy staff means of developing the strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly in the fields of security, politics, and economy, in line with the agreements signed between the two sides especially the Strategic Framework Agreement.
As well the meeting addressed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming meeting of the U.S.-Iraq Higher Coordinating Committee, which will discuss cooperation in several areas, and underlined the importance of good preparation for these meetings. Minister Hussein commended the great efforts made by the Ambassador and the Embassy staff in this regard, in addition the Minister indicated the importance of enhancing coordination between the two countries in light of current regional developments.
In the same context, Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed the need to simplify consular services provided to the Iraqi community in the United States, emphasizing the importance of improving quality of the services.
On his part, Ambassador Al Khirullah expressed his appreciation for this visit, describing it as “a step in support of diplomatic work, that comes under major circumstances and challenges facing the region “.
