وزير خارجية مملكة البحرين يستقبل نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية فؤاد حسين في المنامة ويعقدان مباحثات ثنائية

وصل نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، مساء يوم الأحد الموافق 20 نيسان 2025 ، إلى مملكة البحرين في زيارة رسمية، حيث كان في استقباله وزير خارجية البحرين، الدكتور عبداللطيف بن راشد الزياني.
شهد اللقاء بحث سبل تطوير العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين وتعزيزها في المجالات الاقتصادية والسياحية والأمنية، إلى جانب مناقشة آخر المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية.
وأشاد الدكتور الزياني بمستوى العلاقات العراقية-البحرينية، مؤكداً أهمية تطويرها من خلال زيادة التبادل التجاري والاستثماري وتنظيم زيارات متبادلة بين ممثلي القطاعين العام والخاص. كما أثنى على جهود السيد الوزير فؤاد حسين في تعزيز العلاقات بين البلدين.
من جانبه، أكد الوزير فؤاد حسين أهمية العمل المشترك في مجالات السياحة والطيران والأمن، معرباً عن تطابق وجهات النظر بين بغداد والمنامة إزاء القضايا الإقليمية والدولية. كما دعا إلى تنظيم ورش عمل مشتركة وتكثيف الزيارات الرسمية لتعزيز الشراكة الثنائية، مشيراً إلى أن العراق بدأ فعلياً في بناء قطاع خاص قوي يساند الاقتصاد الوطني، مشدداً على أن تحقيق الاستقرار يُعدّ شرطاً أساسياً للتنمية، ومشيراً إلى أن العراق لم يشهد استقراراً حقيقياً خلال العقود الخمسة الماضية في زمن النظام السابق نتيجة الحروب والحصار والصراعات الداخلية التي أضعفت بنيته التحتية.
كما تطرّق اللقاء إلى الأوضاع العربية الراهنة، حيث أكد الجانبان أهمية تعزيز التماسك العربي لمواجهة التحديات المشتركة، والعمل على وضع آليات فعّالة لتحقيق السلام والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وفي هذا السياق، شدد الوزير فؤاد حسين على أن “الاستقرار هو الأساس الذي تُبنى عليه التنمية”، فيما أكد نظيره البحريني أن “العالم العربي بأمسّ الحاجة إلى وحدة الصف وتبادل الدعم، في ظل المتغيرات المتسارعة التي يشهدها العالم”.
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Receives Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein in Manama to Hold Bilateral Talks
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain on an official visit on Sunday evening 20 April 2025, the Minister was received by Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani.
The meeting discussed means of developing and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in the economic, tourism, and security sectors, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments.
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister commended the level of Iraqi-Bahraini relations, affirming the importance of developing them through increased trade and investment exchange and organizing mutual visits between the representatives of the public and private sectors. As well Dr. Alzayani appreciated Minister Fuad Hussein’s efforts in strengthening relations between the two countries.
On his part, Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of joint work in the areas of tourism, aviation, and security, expressing Baghdad and Manama’s convergence of views on regional and international issues, in addition Iraq’s Foreign Minister called for organizing joint workshops and increasing official visits to strengthen the bilateral partnership, indicating that Iraq has actually started to build a strong private sector to support the national economy. Minister Hussein affirmed that achieving stability is a prerequisite for development, noting that Iraq had not witnessed true stability over the past five decades under the former regime due to wars, blockades, and internal conflicts that weakened its infrastructure.
Additionally, the meeting touched on the current Arab situation, as both sides affirmed the importance of strengthening Arab cohesion to confront common challenges and working to develop effective mechanisms to achieve peace and stability in the region.
In this context, Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized that “stability is the foundation upon which development is built,” while his Bahraini counterpart emphasized that “the Arab world is in dire need of unity and mutual support, in light of the rapid changes the world is witnessing”.
