Ambassador meets Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs

On October 30, 2019, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation, H.E. Haidar Mansour Hadi, met Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Vladimir Makei to discuss the bilateral relations and the latest developments in Iraq.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador briefed about the Iraqi Government and Parliament efforts to meet the demands of the demonstrators through several reforms, indicating that the Iraqi Government supports the official and peaceful demonstrations and is working on protecting the demonstrators.

For his part, Mr. Vladimir Makei said that his Government looks forward to increase the prospects of cooperation in various important sectors with focusing on the potential of developing the trade and economic relations.

Regarding the mutual visits between the two countries, the Belarusian Foreign Minister expressed his hope to achieve them at high levels in the near future so they will contribute in enhancing and strengthening the bilateral relations. Also the Belarusian Foreign Minister praised the activities of the Iraqi Ambassador that aim to strengthen the Belarusian-Iraqi cooperation and the convergence between the people of the two countries.
