Meeting with the Representative of Malaysian Foreign Ministry
On Tuesday, 3rd March 2024 at the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Putrajaya. The Chargé d’Affaires Mr. Mohammed Falih Hammood met Ambassador Mohamad Razdan bin Jamil Undersecretary for West Asia department who was recently appointed as a replacement for the former undersecretary, Ambassador Datuk Zahairi bin Baharim.
At the outset of the meeting, the Chargé d’Affaires extended congratulations to him on assuming his new positions, wishing him continued success in managing West Asia affairs, particularly in handling the Iraq file. He also reviewed the achievements made in the past year in terms of the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, notably the reopening of the Malaysian Embassy in Baghdad.
On his part, the undersecretary for West Asia department praised the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and affirmed his commitment to sustain these relations, despite the current focus of West Asia affairs on the situation in Palestine and the Zionist entity’s aggression on the Gaza Strip. He also mentioned his ongoing communication with the Malaysian Embassy in Baghdad to ensure proper preparations of all bilateral files.
