The Acting Chargé d’ Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets the Pakistani Minister of Interior.

The Acting Chargé d’ Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, Counselor Mr. Abdul Salam Saddam, met on 12/12/2019, the Pakistani Minister of Interior Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Shah.
   The two sides discussed ways to enhance and develop bilateral relations between the two countries in matters of common concern, the most important of which is the security aspect, in a manner that realizes the common interest of the two friendly countries.
    Mr. Abdul Salam talked about the conditions and affairs of the Iraqi community in Pakistan, and ways to provide service to them, and to solve some of the problems that stand before them. As, Mr. Ijaz Shah expressed his cooperation and his complete readiness to overcome the obstacles.
     Mr. Abdul Salam utilized this meeting to talk about the exploitation of some of the Pakistani visitors the religious visit to Iraq, for the purpose of illegal employment and residence in Iraq. Mr. Ijaz Shah promised to solve this issue by setting an appropriate mechanism after consultation by both sides to resolve this issue.
   On the other side, the two sides discussed the issue of combating terrorism, and ways to eliminate it militarily and intellectually. In response, Mr. Ijaz Shah praised the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces against the terrorist organization (ISIS) and its elimination.
  Finally, Mr. Abdul Salam called for the exchange of experiences between the two friendly countries, which would develop the security capabilities of both sides, and in a manner that enhances the partnership between them.
