The Acting Chargé d’ Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets with the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan.



The Acting Charge d’ Affairs Counselor / Mr. Abdul Salam Saddam met on 20/11/2019, Deputy Chairman of the Pakistani Senate, Mr. Saleem Mandiwala.
   The two sides discussed during the meeting held at the headquarters of the Parliament in Islamabad to talk about the situation of the two countries and the common interests and risks, and reviewed together aspects of bilateral relations and ways to support and develop in various fields.
    The Deputy Chairman of the Pakistani Senate assured that his country attaches great importance to its relationship with Iraq and its people.
 For his part, Mr. Abdul Salam said that the Government of the Republic of Iraq is keen to strengthen and develop these relations to broader horizons, and in the interest of both countries.
    Finally, the two sides discussed the achievement of official invitations between the two countries to discuss issues of common interest, parliamentary relations between the Pakistani Senate and the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and ways to activate the parliamentary friendship committee between the two countries.
