Dr. Dylan Ghufour Saleh met with the President of the Romanian Senate, Senator Nicolae Ciucă, on Monday, March 18, 2024. During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Dylan Ghufour Saleh, along with Members of Parliament Haider Al-Salami, Mohammed Sadiq Mohammed, Aryan Aziz, and the Acting Charge d’Affaires, Dr. Alaa Al-Saadi, emphasized the Iraqi Parliament’s commitment to enhancing parliamentary relations with the Romanian Senate and Chamber of Deputies. They commended the Romanian government’s support for Iraq in combating terrorism and its efforts to remove Iraq from the European Commission’s list of high-risk countries for money laundering and terrorist financing. Senator Nicolae Ciucă welcomed the Iraqi Foreign Relations Committee delegation and expressed Romania’s desire to expand cooperation with Iraq across all fields, affirming support for all proposals made by the Iraqi side to enhance bilateral relations.
