The Chargé d’affaires attends the Independence Day Ceremony upon an invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Chargé d’affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Abuja, the counselor, Mr. Anwer Saeed, attended the parade ceremony held at the Presidential Villa on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Independence Day of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The parade was attended by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Vice President H.E. Sen. Kashim Shettima, and honorable Nigerian Ministers, as well as Ambassadors and Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Abuja.

During the ceremony, the Chargé d’affaires met with the Vice President, H.E. Sen. Kashim Shettima, who conveyed his compliments to the government and people of the Republic of Iraq and expressed his sincere sadness and condolences regarding the fire incident in Al-Hamdaniyah district of the Nineveh province that claimed the lives of many Iraqi citizens.
