Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Meets President of Republic of The Gambia
On Saturday, May 4, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Mr. Omer Al Berzinji, met with President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mr. Adama Barrow, as part of the bilateral meetings Mr Al Berzinji held with the heads of delegations participating in the 15th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Conference.
At the beginning of the meeting, Undersecretary Al Berzinji expressed his wishes to the Republic of The Gambia for success in chairing the current session, stressing Iraq’s keenness to provide all support to the Republic of the Gambia in a way that contributes to activate the effective presence of the Organization of Cooperation to strengthening relations between Islamic countries at the political, economic and developmental and cultural levels, to serve the aspirations of the peoples of our Islamic countries.
On his part President Barrow, affirmed that his country, and over its presidency of the current session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation meetings, would do as much as possible to activate unity and solidarity among the countries and peoples of our Islamic nation and enhance cooperation between its countries across all levels.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Fadel Alrahim, acting head of International Organizations and Conferences Department, and Mr. Mohamed Khalaf Al Dahri, i.a charge d’affaires at the Iraqi embassy to the Republic of Senegal.
