Chargé d’ Affaires of the Republic of Iraq in Manama meets Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure
The Chargé d’ Affaires of the Republic of Iraq in Manama, Mr. Muayyad Omar Abdul Rahman, met with the Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The meeting covered a number of topics of interest for both sides and serve into strengthening bilateral relations, due to the extensive social and cultural intertwining ties between the two countries, and the depth of fixed common historical bonds.
The Chargé d’ Affaires expressed Iraq’s desire for developing close and distinguished cooperation between the two countries in the various economic, political and cultural fields into a sustainable framework in the interest of the two brotherly peoples, and the importance of consolidating this cooperation in light of the great challenges and crises facing the region.
The two sides discussed the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding on mutual exemption of entry visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports, and opening the airline between Iraq and Bahrain to push forward the solid bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
From his side, The Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister affirmed the depth of the ties that unite the two countries, and his country’s keenness to develop the course of joint relations towards broader horizons, in the interest of the development and prosperity of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
