FM Fuad Hussein Congratulates Patriarch Mar Paul III Nona

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Fuad Hussein, extended his congratulations and best wishes to His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Paul III Nona on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, on the occasion of the celebration of the ecclesiastical communion Mass at the Vatican, wishing him success in fulfilling his spiritual and humanitarian mission.

The Minister underscored the important role of the Church in promoting the values of love and tolerance, safeguarding human dignity, and fostering peaceful coexistence among the various components of society.

He also highlighted the rich religious and cultural diversity that characterises Iraqi society, describing it as an authentic civilisational and humanitarian heritage that reflects Iraq’s long history of diversity and coexistence among its people.
