FM Receives Copy of Credentials of Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq

Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received, on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, a copy of the credentials of the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Hussein Khafaji, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.

During the meeting, H.E. the Minister affirmed the strength of the bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Arab Republic of Egypt, highlighting the importance of continuing efforts to enhance and develop joint cooperation in various fields, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

H.E. the Minister expressed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ readiness to provide the Egyptian Ambassador with the necessary support and facilities, in a manner that contributes to the success of his diplomatic mission and enhances avenues of cooperation and coordination between the two countries.

For his part, H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Hussein Khafaji commended the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between Iraq and Egypt, affirming his country’s keenness to broaden prospects for bilateral cooperation and enhance relations between the two countries in various fields, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two brotherly peoples.
