FM Fuad Hussein Receives Turkish Ambassador to Iraq

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received on Sunday, 30 August 2026, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Anıl Bora İnan. They discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, foremost among them following up on the outcomes of the recent visit by Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi to the Turkish capital, Ankara.

H.E. the Minister directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue following up on the outcomes of the visit, in coordination with the relevant Iraqi ministries and authorities, in a manner that contributes to translating the agreements reached into practical steps that enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed preparations for a meeting between H.E. the Minister and his Turkish counterpart, as well as the steps and arrangements for commemorating the centenary of the establishment of Iraqi-Turkish relations.

H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein emphasized the need to continue coordination and consultations between the two countries in a manner that strengthens bilateral relations and supports prospects for cooperation in various fields.
