FM Receives Egyptian Ambassador on the Occasion of the Imminent Conclusion of His Mission in Iraq

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received on Sunday, 23 August 2026, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Samir, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad, on the occasion of the imminent conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Iraq.

H.E. the Minister commended the efforts made by the Egyptian Ambassador during his tenure and his contributions to strengthening bilateral relations and developing areas of joint cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the Arab Republic of Egypt, wishing him continued success in his future assignments.

For his part, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Samir expressed his appreciation to H.E. the Minister and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the cooperation and support he received during his tenure in Iraq. H.E. affirmed his pride in the deep brotherly and historic relations between the two brotherly countries and his keenness to see them continue to develop and strengthen.
