FM Receives Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Iraq

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received on Thursday, 13 August 2026, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Ms. Samar Awadallah, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Baghdad.

The meeting focused on the brotherly relations between Iraq and Palestine and ways to enhance them, in addition to developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and the suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of the ongoing events.

H.E. the Minister reaffirmed Iraq’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, as well as its support for the Palestinian Authority and efforts aimed at providing care and assistance to wounded Palestinians.

H.E. the Minister also affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ support for the Ambassador in carrying out her duties and facilitating her work in Iraq, in a manner that contributes to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing coordination between the two countries.
