Press Statement

The Republic of Iraq expresses its full solidarity with the sisterly People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in the wake of the wildfires that have broken out in a number of Algerian provinces, resulting in a number of fatalities and injuries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Government and people of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, as well as to the families and relatives of the victims. The Ministry also wishes a speedy recovery to those injured and safety for all citizens.

The Republic of Iraq reaffirms its solidarity with the sisterly People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria during this difficult time and expresses its confidence in the ability of the Algerian state institutions to overcome the consequences of this disaster, mitigate its impact, and restore normal life in the affected areas.

The Republic of Iraq also renews its solidarity with the brotherly Algerian people, wishing the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria continued security, stability, and peace.
