FM Receives Two Members of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received two members of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee on Monday, 20 July 2026: MP Sarah Iyad Allawi and MP Zerk Zebari.

The meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between MOFA and the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, as well as the importance of further developing their relationship within the constitutional framework in a manner that supports Iraq’s interests and enhances its foreign relations.

During the meeting, H.E. the Minister also reviewed the outcomes of his recent visit to Washington and the ongoing preparations for a series of important international visits to a number of countries in the region.

H.E. the Minister further announced that a meeting will soon be held with the Ministry’s senior staff and all members of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee to discuss issues of mutual interest and further enhance coordination between the Ministry and the Committee.
