Press Statement

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist plots that the security authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco announced they had foiled. These plots targeted sensitive sites and posed a threat to the Kingdom’s security and the safety of its citizens.

The Ministry affirms that these criminal plots constitute a flagrant violation of the security and stability of states and pose a threat to peace and security. It reiterates the Republic of Iraq’s firm and unwavering position rejecting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, as well as anything that seeks to undermine the security of societies and terrorize civilians.

The Ministry also expresses the Republic of Iraq’s full solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco and its support for the measures it is taking to preserve its security and stability. It commends the vigilance and professionalism of the Moroccan security services in successfully thwarting these terrorist plots.
