Press Statement

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq expresses its strongest condemnation of the terrorist bombings carried out using a number of explosive devices, which targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus, resulting in the injury of a number of innocent civilians.

The Ministry affirms that these criminal acts constitute a flagrant violation of the security and safety of civilians and are aimed at undermining security and stability in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic. It reiterates the Republic of Iraq’s firm and unwavering position rejecting all forms of terrorism, extremism, and violence, regardless of their motives or justifications.

MOFA also expresses the Republic of Iraq’s solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic in confronting these terrorist attacks and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
