FM Fuad Hussein Receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Iraq on the Occasion of the Conclusion of His Mission

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Andreas Nasi, on Monday, 6 July 2026, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Iraq.

At the outset of the meeting, H.E. the Minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Austrian Ambassador throughout his tenure, commending his role in strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Austria and in advancing frameworks of joint cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.

H.E. the Minister affirmed the Republic of Iraq’s keenness to continue strengthening its relations with the Republic of Austria in a manner that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries. H.E. also wished Ambassador Andreas Nasi continued success in his future assignments.

For his part, H.E. the Austrian Ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support and cooperation he received throughout his tenure in Iraq, affirming his pride in the relations between the two countries and commending the efforts undertaken by the Iraqi Government to achieve development and enhance stability across various sectors.
