Press Statement

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist bombing that targeted a café in the Syrian capital, Damascus, resulting in the deaths of a number of innocent victims and the injury of others.

The Ministry extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic, its brotherly people, and the families of the victims, while wishing a speedy recovery to all those injured.

The Ministry reaffirms the Republic of Iraq’s full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic during this painful time and its unequivocal rejection of all terrorist acts targeting innocent civilians and public places, which constitute a flagrant violation of humanitarian values and international law.
