FM Receives Congratulatory Message from His Spanish Counterpart on the Renewal of Confidence in Him as FM

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a congratulatory message from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain, H.E. Mr. José Manuel Albares, on the renewal of confidence in him and his reappointment as Iraq’s Foreign Minister.

In his message, H.E. the Spanish Foreign Minister extended his warmest congratulations to H.E. Mr. Hussein, wishing him every success in carrying out his new responsibilities and duties.

H.E. Mr. Albares noted that the formation of Iraq’s new government represents an important opportunity to further enhance bilateral relations between Spain and Iraq, which are bound by longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation. H.E. stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts to address regional and global challenges on the basis of respect for international law and multilateralism.

H.E. the Spanish Foreign Minister also reaffirmed his country’s commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination with Iraq in ways that contribute to promoting peace, security, and stability in the region. H.E. expressed his aspiration to further develop avenues of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in the coming period.

H.E. concluded his message by renewing his congratulations to H.E. Mr. Hussein, conveying his sincere wishes for success in the performance of his duties, and reaffirming Spain’s appreciation for the distinguished relations between the two countries.
