The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq affirms the Iraqi government’s firm rejection of any attack or targeting directed at the Gulf Arab states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It stresses that the security of sister Arab countries is an integral part of Iraq’s national security, and that regional stability represents a shared interest for all its peoples.

The Republic of Iraq reiterates its commitment to a balanced foreign policy, based on building relations of cooperation and mutual respect with countries in the region and beyond, and on joint efforts to enhance security and stability and reduce tensions, in a manner that serves common interests and spares the region further escalation.

The Iraqi government also affirms that it is proceeding with taking all necessary measures to address security challenges in accordance with the Constitution and the law. In this context, Iraqi security agencies continue to coordinate and cooperate with their counterparts in sister and friendly countries, and express their full readiness to receive any information or evidence related to any attacks launched from Iraqi territory against neighboring states, and to work jointly to address them in a responsible and swift manner.

The Republic of Iraq underscores its rejection of the use of its territory to launch attacks against any other country, and affirms that the government is committed to taking all necessary measures to safeguard Iraq’s sovereignty, enhance its fraternal relations, and prevent any actions that could undermine the security and stability of the region.

The government also confirms its ongoing engagement with sister countries to support initiatives, joint efforts, and cooperation aimed at ending the war and returning to diplomatic solutions and political dialogue, in a way that contributes to mitigating harm to peoples and the economies of the region, and achieving security and stability for all.
