Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, Arrives in the Islamic Republic of Iran on an Official Visit

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, arrived today, Sunday, 18 January 2026, in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on an official visit.

During the visit, H.E. the Minister is scheduled to meet the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian; the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Abbas Araghchi; and the Secretary-General of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, H.E. Mr. Ali Larijani, in addition to a number of Iranian officials.

H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein’s discussions will focus on bilateral relations between the two countries and on addressing current regional developments and ongoing tensions in the region, in a manner that contributes to enhancing stability and supporting regional dialogue.
