The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq is closely following, with great interest, the ongoing political and security developments in the brotherly Republic of Yemen.

The Ministry reaffirms the firm position of the Republic of Iraq in calling for the preservation of Yemen’s security and stability, in line with the aspirations of its brotherly people to live in peace.

In this context, the Ministry expresses its hope that regional and international efforts will contribute to supporting the path toward stability in Yemen, in a manner that enhances opportunities for de-escalation and creates conducive conditions for reaching sustainable solutions.

The Ministry commends the efforts aimed at consolidating peace, stressing the necessity of safeguarding the interests of the brotherly Yemeni people and supporting all initiatives that promote stability and development.

The Ministry also emphasizes the importance of continuing constructive dialogue among all Yemeni parties, as the most effective means of reaching comprehensive peaceful solutions that help alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
