Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Receives Deputy Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iranian Islamic Shura Council

On Monday, July 21, 2025, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Aluloom, received the Deputy Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly Mr. Mahmoud Nabavian, and his accompanying delegation, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.

The meeting included discussions on developments in the Middle East, particularly in light of the recent escalation. Both sides condemned the aggression carried out by the Israeli entity against the Islamic Republic of Iran, considering it a blatant violation of the principles of the UN Charter and the provisions of international law.

Ambassador Bahr Aluloom reaffirmed Iraq’s unwavering position in supporting the strengthening of regional and international dialogue channels, and the importance of backing diplomatic initiatives aimed at finding peaceful solutions to the ongoing crisis between Iran and the United States. He stressed that adopting dialogue as a means of resolution contributes to reinforcing security and stability across the region.
