Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Receives Kuwaiti Ambassador to Baghdad

Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Aluloom, received the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Hassan Mohammed Al Zaman, at the Ministry’s headquarters on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation across various fields. As well they discussed mechanisms for implementing the outcomes of previous meetings, in addition to joint coordination in regional and international forums.
During the meeting, the Kuwaiti Ambassador expressed his government’s gratitude and appreciation to the Iraqi Minister of Interior for the significant facilitations provided by the Ministry, which contributed to the passage of Kuwaiti citizens by land through Iraqi territory, in light of the security challenges facing the region. He emphasized that these efforts reflect the depth of relations between the two countries and Iraq’s commitment to cooperation.
On his part, the Undersecretary expressed his gratitude to the State of Kuwait for the efforts made by its institutions to facilitate the return of Iraqi citizens stranded in several countries due to the recent security repercussions in the region.
The Undersecretary affirmed Iraq’s keenness to develop its relations with the sisterly State of Kuwait, commending the Kuwaiti Ambassador’s role in strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
