Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Discusses with his Egyptian Counterpart Regional Developments and Calls for an Emergency Meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call from Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Expatriates Affairs Dr. Badr Abdelatty, on 18 June 2025.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the recent shifts in the ongoing war against the Islamic Republic of Iran and their implications on regional security and stability.
In this context, Minister Fuad Hussein called for an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers to be held on the sidelines of the upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Meeting in Istanbul early next week. The aim of the proposed meeting is to coordinate Arab positions in light of the rapid developments and to address the current challenges with a spirit of common responsibility.
