Mr. Fuad Hussein Receives a Phone Call from Turkish Counterpart to Discuss Developments in Regional Conflict and Preparations for OIC Summit in Istanbul


On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Hakan Fidan.

The two sides discussed the latest developments regarding the ongoing conflict in the region, including the shifts in the positions of some countries. As well they reviewed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), scheduled to take place in Istanbul early next week. Both ministers underscored the importance of the summit in light of the rapidly evolving regional circumstances and the challenges facing the countries of the region.

The two ministers emphasized the need to strengthen diplomatic coordination among Islamic countries to ensure regional stability and to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
