Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Phone Call from UAE Counterpart to Discuss Regional Escalation

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a phone call from His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
During the call, the two sides discussed developments in the region in light of the recent attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the risks posed by the continued escalation to regional stability.
The two ministers stressed the gravity of the ongoing escalation and their potential negative consequences for all countries in the region, in addition to the possible economic repercussions that could impact the global economy.
Additionally they underscored the importance of concerted regional and international efforts to support the negotiation track between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and the prevention of further tensions.
Both sides agreed on the need to maintain ongoing consultations, mutual understanding, and diplomatic coordination between the two countries to help bring an end to the conflict and mitigate its impact on the security and stability of the region.
