Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Receives Phone Call from His Turkish Counterpart to Discuss Regional Developments

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Hakan Fidan, on June 13, 2025. 

During the call, the two ministers exchanged information regarding the background of the Israeli attack that targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran, and discussed the political and security implications resulting from it up to date.

As well they shared their views and assessments on the impact of the attack on regional security and emphasized the importance of continued coordination between Iraq and Turkey in addressing any emerging developments in the region.

Both sides stressed the need for joint diplomatic efforts to prevent the expansion of the conflict, preserve regional stability, and avoid further escalation.
