Iraq and Jordan’s Foreign Ministers Hold a Phone Call to Discuss Regional Escalation and Reaffirm Rejection of Conflict Expansion

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Mr. Fuad Hussein held a phone call with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Mr. Ayman Safadi, on 13 June, 2025.
The two ministers exchanged information and assessments regarding recent political and security developments in the region, particularly in light of the recent escalation and the tension following the aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran, and its potential repercussions on neighboring countries, especially Iraq and Jordan. Both sides condemned the attack and reaffirmed their rejection of any further escalation that could lead to a broader regional conflict.
They also highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy, expressing their support for the continuation of negotiations with the United States in pursuit of a peaceful settlement that would help strengthen regional stability.
