Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Holds a Call with Iraq’s Ambassador in Tehran to Follow Up on Developments and Ensure Safety of the Community and Mission Members

On Friday, June 13, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein held a phone call with the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Naseer Abdul Mohsen Abdullah.

The call came as part of the Minister’s follow-up on developments in Iran amid the recent regional escalation, reflecting his concern to ensure the safety of the Iraqi diplomatic mission members and staff working at the Iraqi consulates there.

As well as Minister Hussein affirmed the importance of monitoring the situation of the Iraqi community residing in Iran, maintaining communication with them to ensure their safety, and providing necessary support under the current circumstances.

During the call the Minister stressed the need for continued monitoring of new developments and close coordination with the Foreign Ministry to guarantee the security and well-being of Iraqi personnel and to provide accurate information regarding the on-ground situation.
