Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Visits Consulate General of Iraq in Cannes

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, paid a visit to the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Cannes, France.
During the visit, the Minister met with the consulate staff, reviewed their working conditions and needs, and emphasized the importance of enhancing consular performance and providing high-quality services to members of the Iraqi community—particularly those residing in southern French cities. His Excellency also instructed the implementation of the Ministry’s plans to renovate the consulate building, in order to strengthen its operational capacity.
Minister Hussein highlighted the importance of leveraging the economic, cultural, and artistic events for which Cannes is known, as a means of promoting Iraq and showcasing the reconstruction and investment opportunities offered by the Iraqi government’s program.
His Excellency was accompanied during the visit by the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to France Dr. Wadee Al Batti.
