Undersecretary for Legal and Multilateral Affairs Chairs a Virtual Preparatory Meeting for Iraq Investment Forum 2025

The Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Legal and Multilateral Affairs, Ambassador Shorsh Saeed, chaired a virtual meeting organized by the Ministry’s Economic Department, with the participation of heads of Iraqi diplomatic missions abroad and members of the Diwani Order Committee on coordinating procedures for the Iraq Investment Forum, scheduled to be held in the capital, Baghdad, from June 14 to 15, 2025.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Undersecretary provided a comprehensive briefing on the remarkable urban developments witnessed in Iraq, particularly in the capital, Baghdad, noting the country’s growing need for investment across various sectors and emphasized the pivotal role assigned to Iraqi missions in promoting this forum and attracting foreign investment.
All the investment opportunities that will be presented during the forum, amounting to (139) investment opportunities with complete legal and administrative procedures, were reviewed by Mr. Ibrahim Al Baghdadi Al Masoudi, Chairman of the Iraqi Economic Council.
Director General of the Economic Department at the Investment Commission Ms. Huda Eidan, gave a detailed presentation on the facilities and privileges the Commission provides to those wishing to invest in Iraq.
The meeting witnessed extensive discussions on the organizational and technical aspects related to the forum, emphasizing the importance of integrating efforts among the relevant parties to ensure its success.
