Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Jordanian Prime Minister at Baghdad Airport for Participation in Arab and Development Summits

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan upon his arrival at Baghdad International Airport, to participate in the 34th Ordinary Arab Summit and the 5th Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, both hosted by the Iraq, on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Minister Fuad Hussein welcomed the Jordanian Prime Minister to Baghdad.

On his part, Dr. Hassan appreciated Iraq’s efforts in organizing the summits, noting that choosing Baghdad as the host city “reflects Iraq’s historical significance and its active role in promoting Arab solidarity”, underlining the importance of holding these summits during a critical time for the region.

The two sides also discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Jordan, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
