Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives UAE Minister of State Ahead of Preparatory Ministerial Meeting for the Arab Summit

Baghdad, May 15, 2025

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Khalifa Bin Shaheen Almarar, at the Government Palace in Baghdad. The meeting took place ahead of the preparatory ministerial session of Arab foreign ministers, held in advance of the 34th Arab Summit, which Baghdad will host on 17 May.

Minister Hussein welcomed his Emirati counterpart and expressed Iraq’s appreciation for the UAE’s participation in the meeting. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening joint Arab action and enhancing bilateral coordination among Arab countries to address the current challenges facing the region.
