Iraq’s Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Meets UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Arab Emirates Dr. Mudhafar Mustafa Al Jubouri, met with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, at the Ministry of Economy headquarters in Abu Dhabi, on Tuesday 6 May 2025.

This meeting comes within the framework of boosting the outcomes of the second session of the Iraq-UAE Business Forum, held in Dubai in early May 2025, and as a continuation of discussions aimed at strengthening economic and investment relations between the two countries.

The two sides discussed ways to increase the growing volume of trade exchange between Iraq and the UAE, create an attractive environment for investment, and enhance partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Ambassador Al Jubouri affirmed the importance of expanding trade and investment cooperation in vital sectors that contribute to the achievement of sustainable growth and economic prosperity for the two brotherly countries.

On his part, Dr. Al Zeyoudi underlined the UAE’s keenness to develop and diversify economic and trade relations with Iraq, noting the importance of building on the outcomes of the Iraq-UAE Business Forum and expanding the horizons of partnership between the two sides.
