Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives US Officials in Washington

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Fuad Hussein received at his residence in Washington, DC, the Senior Official of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Tim Lenderking, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran, Mrs. Victoria Taylor.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States and ways for enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries. The talks also discussed the Iraq’s active role for enhancing the regional stability and its efforts to support the dialogue and understanding among the countries in the region.
Both sides described the talks as “excellent,” emphasizing the significance of continuing the mutual cooperation to face the regional challenges and enhancing the mutual interests between Iraq and the United States.
