Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Holds a Phone Call with Jordanian Counterpart

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein held a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Mr. Ayman Safadi, on 16 April 2025.
During the call, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between both countries, and ways to strengthen them across various areas, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments.
As well they affirmed the deep historical ties between Iraq and Jordan, and their shared commitment to developing them by expanding the horizons of economic, trade, and investment cooperation, to serve the interests of the two peoples.
On his part, Minister Hussein reiterated Iraq’s firm stance in support of the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and its rejection of any attempts aimed at destabilizing its security or interfering in its internal affairs.
Additionally, Minister Hussein underlined the importance of the continued coordination between the two countries to confront common regional challenges.
On his part, Minister Safadi commended Iraq’s positive role in promoting stability in the region, and appreciated the two countries’ efforts in combating terrorism and supporting sustainable development.
