Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Chairs 15th Preparatory Meeting for Arab Summit in Baghdad

On Thursday 17 April 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein chaired the 15th preparatory meeting for the upcoming Arab Summit which will be hosted by Iraq on May 17.
The meeting assessed the progress of the final preparations, to ensure the success of this important event.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Planning Dr. Mohammed Tamim, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Dr. Hamid Al Ghazi, and the Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al Dulaimi, along with representatives from several relevant ministries and government agencies.
The attendees discussed the proposed agenda with attaching special importance on reviewing organizational, security, and logistical plans, including arrangements for receiving the participating delegations, and coordinating technical and media aspects.
Minister Hussein emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation among all relevant parties to achieve the highest readiness, noting that Baghdad’s hosting the summit represents an opportunity to enhance Iraq’s position and highlight its role in supporting joint Arab action.
The attendees also underlined the need to complete all arrangements within the specified timeframe, ensuring the summit is held in an atmosphere of effective coordination and distinguished organization.
